Let me ask you if you have ever been to the grocery store without a list?
Now is shopping at the grocery store without a list the same experience as shopping with a list?
Obviously no. It is a totally different experience.
I’ve yet to meet anyone that claims that shopping without a list is the same experience as shopping with a list.
Think about what is different? And why?
Do you end up with a bunch of impulse buys that maybe you should have avoided? Especially if you were hungry right?
How about forgetting some of the things that you wet to the store to get? And that’s even worse when you only had 1 or 2 things in mind and those are the items that you forgot isn’t it.
The list is your plan for going to the grocery store, and when you don’t have that plan, things turn out quite differently don’t they?
What’s Your Plan?
The same is true in your business, and other aspects of your life as well for that matter.
If you don’t have a plan and are just kind of meandering along, you have no idea whether or not you are moving in the right direction.
You have no idea if a particular decision you are making is going to take you in the right direction or not, because you aren’t quite sure what the right direction is half the time, because of the lack of a plan.
I’m not talking about some 100 page business plan that takes months to create and then sits on your shelf never to be looked at again.
I’m talking about a living breathing plan of action that will propel you forward toward your destination in your business and in your life.
You need to have a plan for your business and your life in order to get where you want to go, especially if you want to do it in a timely manner.
