Are you using Customer Service Week to your full advantage? Are you doing everything you can to improve the experiences your customers are having and building, fostering and deepening those relationships?
While you obviously need to be providing exceptional service for your customers year round in order to stand out from your competition, with this week being Customer Service Week, you have the opportunity to go beyond what you would normally do.
This week gives you the perfect opportunity to step that up to the next level. Create a WOW Experience for your customers.
You can take those existing Know, Like and Trust Relationships to a whole new level.
Create Something Remarkable
Seth Godin would say that you should create something remarkable. Something that your customers will talk about (remark about).
There is no better marketing for your business than Word Of Mouth.
When people are talking about you in a positive light there is no better publicity and public relations that that.
Maybe is is a simple as a hand written note. They are pretty rare, and thus remarkable these days.
When was the last time you got one of those?
I’ve received a handful in the past year and I’ve kept them all. They are in a stack on my bookshelf, and I tell people about them. They are Remarkable!
Do you have a good system in place to manage those relationships? Some kind of CRM system (Customer Relationship Management) to help you? A Database? A Spreadsheet? A paper address book? Anything is better than nothing.
If you have a good system in place for managing your customer relationships, then you will know exactly what is the best way to appreciate each and every one of your customers in the way that is best for them.
You can (and should) personalize those experiences.
If your current system for Customer Relationship Management can’t handle that, or you haven’t kept those kinds of records, then maybe this week can be your incentive, your kick in the rear, to get you going on creating them so that next year for Customer Service Week, you will be all set.
